GENIE – The Flying Carpet: The greatest innovation of the Stumpjumper 15 is the GENIE technology. This still-patented air spring fulfills every rider's three wishes: the feel and control of a coil spring, better bottom-out prevention compared to a traditional air spring, and an adjustable platform for a playful feel.

THE 'GENIE': GENIE combines the linear stiffness of the coil spring, which improves control in the "impact zone," with the progressive curve of the air spring at the end of the stroke to prevent bottom-out. It’s truly the best of both worlds – coil and air – with extra adjustability. Say goodbye to compromises and welcome the future of suspension.

WHAT IMPACTS?: With 16.3% better impact force management compared to a traditional air spring shock, GENIE allows the Stumpjumper 15 to behave like a bike with longer travel. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 (145mm rear travel) and our Enduro (170mm travel) both use 101mm of stroke to absorb an impact force of 1080 N.

TRACTION GALORE: Field tests show the Stumpjumper 15 with GENIE delivers 57% superior traction compared to a standard air spring shock. In fact, GENIE performs like a coil spring, keeping the wheel in contact with the ground for a greater percentage of time compared to a traditional air spring.

GOODBYE BOTTOM OUT: 39% fewer bottom-out events compared to a standard air spring. In the case of big impacts, you’ll benefit from the progressive curve in the last 30% of the GENIE stroke. Thanks to its two-phase behavior, GENIE reduces the frequency and severity of bottom-out events.

PERFECTED GEOMETRY: The geometry of this bike offers great capability when needed, agility in tight sections, and climbing efficiency. The wide cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and control in corners.
